Star Wars Celebration Europe - Lawrence Noble to Sculpt live


One lucky fan to take home one-of-a-kind Star Wars bust!

[ Celebration Europe: Star Wars Art Shines ]Lawrence Noble, the talented sculptor who has created many stunning original works, including the bronze statue of Jedi Master Yoda installed at Lucasfilm's offices in the Presidio, San Francisco, will be sculpting live during Star Wars Celebration Europe. Noble's studio will be transported to the Animation Art Gallery stand adjacent to the Art Show in the main hall, where he will be talking with fans throughout the show as he sculpts. The artist will create a one-of-a-kind, life-sized bust of Grand Moff Tarkin from A New Hope, the first movie produced in the Star Wars saga.

What's more, one extremely fortunate fan who attends Celebration Europe will be selected to receive the completed, original sculpt! Noble plans to sculpt a life-sized, head and shoulders bust of Grand Moff Tarkin, who was played by the quintessentially British actor Peter Cushing. This priceless piece will be cast under Noble's direction after the show, then shipped to the winner's place of residence by Cards Inc., co-producers with Lucasfilm of Star Wars Celebration Europe.

Noble's many achievements include designing numerous motion picture advertising campaigns, like The Empire Strikes Back 10th anniversary poster. Noble plans to sculpt all three days of Celebration Europe but will take regular breaks so will not be sculpting every hour the event is open.

Sculpture recipient will be selected on Sunday, July 15th, 2007 and entry requirements will be announced nearer to the event.
